Georgetown Cricket Association Undefeated in U19 Tournament

The Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) continues its winning streak in the U19 tournament, remaining undefeated after two games.

Captain Alvin Mohabir attributes their success to the team’s hard work and commitment.

Well you know me and my team have been working hard to win this tournament this year basically we’re just trying to do the basics and execute in our plans and just go out there and win the tournament this year.”

Mohabir, who harbors ambitions of breaking into the national U19 team, expresses his determination to achieve his goal.

He sees his current position as a stepping stone towards representing Guyana at the U19 level.

Yes it’s just like two steps away from making the Guyana under 19 team and that’s my goal for this year,” Mohabir reveals. “I have been working very hard throughout the past couple of years and my preparations. I’ve been working very hard on my fitness been doing a lot of batting and bowling drills and fielding likewise.

As the tournament progresses, Mohabir and his team remain focused on their objectives, aiming for continued success on the field.

With their sights set on both personal and team achievements, they are poised to make a significant impact in the cricketing arena.
