In a generous gesture, the First Lady has donated an ambulance to the Pediatric Unit of the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC), enhancing emergency response and transportation services for children in need.
The donation of the ambulance to the pediatric unit is expected to bring about significant improvements in emergency response and tailored care for children at the hospital.
Robbie Rambarran, Chief Executive Officer of GPHC, expressed his gratitude for the support extended by the First Lady, emphasizing the impact it will have on both parents and children.
CEO Rambarran conveyed his appreciation, stating, “On behalf of Georgetown Hospital and more so the patient that comes here and particularly our pediatric patients. First Lady we thank you for your continued support you have been supporting us in a lot of ventures and we thank you for that.”
He also highlighted the importance of the ambulance, noting that it will be the first assigned specifically to the pediatric unit, promising to put it to good use.
The addition of the ambulance is expected to address previous challenges faced in transferring pediatric patients between facilities and responding to emergencies promptly.
