First Lady Arya Ali Spreads Christmas Cheer to New Mothers

First Lady Arya Ali visited the Georgetown Public Hospital on Christmas Day to spread holiday joy to six mothers who welcomed newborns on this special occasion.

The maternity ward at the hospital witnessed the delivery of two boys and four girls on Christmas morning, with the first baby, a girl, born just 20 minutes after midnight.

During her annual visit, First Lady Arya Ali extended warm season’s greetings and good wishes to the new mothers.

She presented care packages containing essential baby supplies and diapers to the mothers, expressing joy at the births on Christmas Day.

First Lady Arya Ali shared her happiness about the Christmas babies, stating, “We are overjoyed by babies on Christmas Day. We’re here to wish our mothers a Merry Christmas and to congratulate them on this new chapter in their lives, and we come with a little token.”

Robbie Rambarran, Chief Executive Officer of the hospital, who accompanied the First Lady during the visit, commended the medical staff for their dedication and efforts.

He mentioned that the annual visit by the President or First Lady has become a cherished tradition at the hospital, bringing joy to new moms on Christmas Day.

Additionally, it was announced that a High Dependency Unit in the maternity ward would be commissioned in the coming weeks, marking a significant milestone in the medical sector and enhancing the hospital’s capacity and efficiency.

The visit by First Lady Arya Ali reflects the commitment to sharing the joy of the festive season with new mothers and contributing to positive experiences during this special time.
