The 2023 golf season concluded with the inaugural Panko Pairs tournament at the Lusignan golf course, where Romel Bhagwandin and Robin Tiwari emerged as the winners.
The tournament, held on Sunday, featured a competitive field of golfers.
Starting their round at nine hours, Bhagwandin and Tiwari quickly established a solid lead within the first few holes, showcasing excellent chemistry throughout the day and securing their position at the top of the table.
The second-place finish went to the pair of Maurice Solomon and Rabindranath Persaud, while Rakesh and Ravindra Harry claimed the third spot.
Expressing gratitude for the unique experience, Bhagwandin and Tiwari thanked the organizers for the tournament.
The event not only celebrated golf excellence but also featured additional competitions.
Naro Ghanpat won the chipping competition, Christine Sukhram excelled in putting, Nicholas Dindanauth achieved the Longest Drive, and Ryan Dindanauth secured the Closest to Pin title.
The tournament, organized by Panko Steel, aimed to give back to the community.
Representatives Amisha and Sandy Ramsundar spearheaded the day’s activities, contributing to the success of the event.
Minister of Legal Affairs Anil Nandlall presented the trophy to Robin Tiwari and Romel Bhagwandin, highlighting the significance of their achievement in the Panko Pairs tournament.
