Overseas Colleges Shine in KFC Goodwill International Football Series

The KFC-sponsored Goodwill International Football Series witnessed another day of intense football action as eight schools vied for regional supremacy.

Overseas colleges, St Benedict from Trinidad and Clarendon College from Jamaica, secured comfortable victories alongside top local side Chase Academic Foundation.

In the match between St Benedict and DC Caesar Fox Secondary School, the Trinidadian team dominated with a 6-0 victory.

Keanu Morean opened the scoring in the 5th minute, followed by a pair of goals from Jeremiah Niles.

Nesean Alexander and Malachi Webb also found the net, while Niles completed a hat trick, sealing the win for St Benedict.

Jamaica’s Clarendon College secured a 3-1 victory against St Ignatius Secondary School.

Dameon Simms and Stephon Sprosta scored for Clarendon College, while Ronaldo Williams and Nicholy Forbes extended their lead, securing the win.

In other matches at the Queen’s College ground, front runner Chase Academic Foundation defeated Bartica Secondary 4-0, with Bryan Wharton scoring a hat trick.

VMO4 out of Suriname also secured a victory against Carmel Secondary, with Djojoseparto leading his team to success.

The series will continue on Saturday with four more matches: St Ignatius vs. Bartica, DC Caesar Fox vs. VMO4, St Benedicts vs. Carmel, and Clarendon College vs. Chase Academic.

This year, the top school will receive a prize of US$2,500, followed by US$1,500 for the second-place team, US$1,000 for third place, and US$500 for fourth place.
