Road Safety Month Concludes with Rally in Region 10

In collaboration with the region’s Road Safety Committee, the Division Ten Traffic Department organized a rally to mark the culmination of Road Safety Month.

Mayor Sharma Solomon, addressing the gathering, emphasized that accidents are among the most lethal threats in society.

He urged students to follow road safety rules, emphasizing the importance of looking before crossing the road and being considerate.

Mayor Solomon expressed his readiness to collaborate with the police and the Road Safety Committee to ensure safer roads.

Regional Chairman Deron Adams praised the efforts of the Commander and ranks for their patrols, attributing them to a reduction in accidents in the division.

Adams referenced the month’s theme and called on everyone to adhere to safe driving practices, especially near bridges.

He pleaded for increased vigilance on the roads.

A-REO Leola Naraine reminded attendees of their collective responsibility as citizens to campaign for road safety and commit to responsible behavior, whether driving or walking.
