Two senior teachers from Wisburg Secondary School in Region 10 have emerged as top performers in the National Centre For Education Resource Development’s (NCERD) Education Management Certificate Course.

This two-year course saw successful completion by a total of twenty senior teachers.

The eleventh Certificate Course in Education Management, conducted by the National Centre for Education Resource Development, took place from 2021 to 2023.

In Region 10, the Master Trainer for the course was Ava Chapman, an education stalwart who received high praise from the graduates.

Andria Campbell-Michael, the Senior Mistress and head of the science department at Wisburg Secondary School, secured the top position locally.

She expressed the effectiveness of the course in providing her with the necessary skills to manage her staff, handle time, and manage finances.

Campbell-Michael recommended the course to all teachers.

Weslyn Thomas, another Senior Mistress from Wisburg, secured one of the top three positions in the course.

She found the course challenging at times but ultimately rewarding.

Asante Thornhill, the head of the Modern Foreign Language Department at Mackenzie High School, also successfully completed the course.

Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, she described the experience as rewarding.

All twenty teachers who completed the course were honored at a simple ceremony organized by the Region 10 Department of Education.
