In fulfillment of a commitment made by President Ali during a recent visit to Region 10, Public Works Minister Juan Edghill delivered over 200 water tanks to communities facing water scarcity.
The distributed water tanks reached communities such as Old England-Siberia, Three Friends, Coomacka Mines, Nottinghamshire, Mariah Elizabeth, Ituni, #58 Miles, and Mabura in Region 10.
Residents, particularly those in hilly areas grappling with water scarcity during the El Nino period, warmly welcomed this initiative.
Minister Edghill highlighted that these tanks serve as a short-term solution, emphasizing the government’s commitment to investing in long-term strategies to address water challenges.
This initiative reflects the government’s dedication to providing immediate relief while actively working on sustainable solutions to water-related issues.
