Precia Jerrick, a dedicated sports enthusiast, is all set to launch her inaugural beach football competition with the support of corporate Linden.
The tournament, scheduled to commence on October 14, aims to foster competitive skills and provide community entertainment.
As part of her 21st birthday celebrations, Jerrick, known for her fervent love of sports, envisioned this tournament as a means to elevate football in the region.
Jerrick also acknowledged the dearth of football activities due to field limitations, making this event a golden opportunity for enthusiasts.
The tournament will span several dates, including October 18, 20, 22, and 25.
The semi-finals and finals are scheduled for October 29.
Over 12 teams will compete for attractive prizes.
“On the first four nights, there will be a round-robin format.
Currently, we have a total of 12 teams, and they will be placed into groups.
The team securing the first place will take home the prize for the semi-finals and finals,” explained Jerrick, who is the promoter of the event.
The tournament’s champions will be awarded the championship trophy along with a cash prize of 250,000 dollars.
Second and third-place finishers will receive 100,000 dollars and 50,000 dollars, respectively.
All matches will be held at the Christianburg Ballfield, commencing at 18:00 hours.
