NDMA Initiates Cybersecurity Training for Public Organizations, Citizens, and Students

The National Data Management Authority (NDMA) is gearing up for a series of comprehensive cybersecurity training sessions in commemoration of Cybersecurity Awareness Month.

Melissa Vandeyar, Assistant Information Technology Engineer, emphasized that this initiative aims to enhance participants’ ability to protect themselves against online threats.

The initial phase of the cybersecurity training will be tailored for public organizations entrusted with citizens’ sensitive personal and financial data.

Moreover, this initiative will extend its benefits to the working population and students from twelve schools spanning six administrative regions.

The training program will equip participants with critical insights and skills to navigate the internet securely.

It will shed light on the potential risks associated with improper data usage and introduce mechanisms to mitigate such threats, with a special emphasis on schools.

Additionally, NDMA will advocate for the use of the “Get Safe Online” website, enabling users to verify the legitimacy of websites used for various purposes such as shopping and gaming.

Cybersecurity Awareness Month serves as a reminder of the collective responsibility shared by the public and private sectors to promote cyber hygiene and safeguard computer systems, data, and networks against unauthorized access and cyber-attacks.
