General Secretary of the People’s Progressive Party, Dr. Bharrat Jagdeo, assured that the party’s approach to development projects is all-encompassing and not based on ethnic considerations.
He emphasized this stance during a press conference, emphasizing that the PPP/C government works for the betterment of all Guyanese communities, irrespective of ethnic backgrounds.
Dr. Jagdeo addressed accusations of ethnic bias, stating that the government’s commitment to inclusive development has been mischaracterized by political opponents. He refuted claims that the government is neglecting any specific community and pointed out that such assertions are baseless and easily debunked.
Furthermore, Dr. Jagdeo reiterated the importance of acknowledging any past wrongdoings before meaningful dialogue between the President and the Opposition leader can take place. Specifically, he emphasized the need for the opposition to acknowledge attempts to manipulate the 2020 general and regional elections.
