Kallco Guyana Inc. has taken steps to expedite the Conversation Tree to Dennis Street Road project.
The company has hired local contractors to ensure multiple aspects of the project progress simultaneously, in an effort to meet the revised deadline of November 5, 2023.
Minister of Public Works, Juan Edghill, previously expressed concerns about the project’s progress and requested Kallco to submit a revised work plan.
According to the latest update from Minister Edghill, Kallco has engaged with the Ministry and is working in accordance with the new plan.
Additionally, Kallco has formally requested the Ministry to remove them from the list of non-performing contractors for this project.
The Conversation Tree to Dennis Street road widening project, valued at $1.8 billion, involves various components, including the establishment of a double-lane carriageway, the implementation of concrete revetments, and the construction of substantial concrete bridges to connect to Dennis Street. S. Jagmohan Construction and General Supplies are also involved in the execution of this project.
