Archery Guyana 2023 Championships: Triumph of Precision and Skill

In a display of exceptional archery skills, Jeewanram Persaud, Saifullah Gani, Roshini Boodhoo, and Julie-Ann Williams emerged as the top archers in the Archery Guyana National Outdoor Championships 2023. The tournament, generously sponsored by Sterling Products Limited and Oasis Water, took place at the Queen’s College Playfield.

In the Barebow Men’s Final, Mehandra Chatargum secured the top spot for Gold, followed by Jeewanram Persaud with the Silver, and Faraad Gani with the Bronze. Saifullah Gani clinched the Gold in the U18 Barebow Men’s Final, while Muhsin Wazidali secured the Silver, and Christian Craigen took the Bronze.

Julie-Ann Williams emerged victorious in the Barebow Women’s category, with Roshini Boodhoo in second place and Melesa Ramnariane in third.

Moving to the Men’s Recurve, Persaud claimed the Gold, followed by Saeed Karim with the Silver, and Mehandra Chatargum with another impressive performance securing the Bronze.

In the Women’s Recurve, Roshini Boodhoo shone, earning the Gold. Duncan and Williams took the Silver and Bronze, respectively.

Dellon Lynch, Marketing Manager of Sterling Products, expressed his admiration for the high level of archery talent on display. He expressed eagerness to see this sponsored event become a regular fixture on the yearly calendar, looking forward to the competitions in the coming years.

President of Archery Guyana, Vidushi Persaud-McKinnon, extended her gratitude to the hard-working Committee, the Judges, and reserved special thanks for Chief Executive Officer Ramsay Ali and the Management of Sterling Products.

The competition was overseen by National Judges Director of Shooting Ryan McKinnon and Line/Target Judge Mr. Robert Singh.
