The SME Investment Conference commenced on Friday at the Police training center in Georgetown, running from today, July 14 to Sunday, July 16.
Organized by the ‘Together We Win Business Network’, this three-day event focuses on empowering Small and Medium-sized entrepreneurs by providing guidance on business growth and overcoming challenges.
Marlon Joseph, the CEO, and founder of ‘Together We Win Business Network’, expressed their determination to elevate the conference this year by hosting information sessions with influential speakers, aiding entrepreneurs in their professional development.
He emphasized the conference’s uniqueness, aiming to address issues concerning access to finance and resources, which entrepreneurs often face. To achieve this, the organization collaborated with multiple partners to execute this initiative.
During the opening ceremony, British High Commissioner to Guyana, Jane Miller, encouraged entrepreneurs not to fear pursuing opportunities despite the potential difficulties. She stressed that entrepreneurs possess the ability to explore available resources and support, urging them to seek the best solutions for their businesses.
Additionally, a partnership agreement was signed between ‘Together We Win Business Network’ and One Shot International, paving the way for an Investment Acceleration Program.
This program is designed to provide startups, founders, and entrepreneurs with a supportive ecosystem, enabling them to launch businesses that create value for society.
