Lindeners have been assured of a bright and secure future as Government works to shape the towns’ growth and development.
President Irfaan Ali made the announcement during his keynote speech at a recent commissioning ceremony of the new Kiln at Bosai Mineral in Linden.
“Linden is an important growth and …investments we are making in Linden is to support that hub, to support the opportunities that are coming your way, young people…to give you the best possible future.”
President Dr. Irfaan Ali says the investment being made will see diversification of the region’s economy that will create opportunities for its citizens.
He also highlighted several ongoing and imminent transformational projects happening in the town in the areas of tourism, infrastructure, and housing.
The Linden- Mabura hill project, the Wismar- Mackenzie bridge, the establishment of an aluminum plant, and a world-class tourism facility are amongst these developments.
“We are now pushing Linden on an international stage to find a major investor to build a first-world, first-class tourism facility here in Linden that will be linked to the hinterland. These are things that we are doing, strengthening traditional sectors and transformation of our country.”
To accelerate the development of citizens of Region Ten, the President says government will make investments outside of its manifesto promises.
These include the commencement of the 1000 homes project and the processing of 2500 new titles that will see the regularization of squatter settlements in the town by 2025.
