NCN is the nation’s largest Television & Radio Network covering 80% viewer and listener ship
The National Communications Network (NCN) is the state-owned television and radio broadcasting corporation in Guyana. It was formed in 2004 through the merger of the State Radio service, Guyana Broadcasting Corporation(GBC), and the State television service (GTV).
NCN has an unmatched broadcasting reach, covering 80% of Guyana’s Radio and Television viewer and listener ship and broadcasts 24 hours daily with programs tailored for every demographic within Guyana. NCN operates three coastal Radio Stations with the reach of:
- VYBZ 100.1 FM – 38 miles radius
- 98.1 HOT FM – 38 miles radius
- Voice of Guyana (VOG) 102.5 FM/560 AM – nationwide
Additionally, NCN operates seven (7) Hinterland community radio stations in the 10 administrative regions. The community stations and areas are; Mahdia, Lethem, Mabaruma, Orealla, Aishalton, Bartica, Paiwomak and Essequibo. Voice of Guyana (VOG) 102.5 FM/560 AM is relayed to all Community Radio stations.
In addition to our radio services, NCN operates terrestrial frequencies in all three counties of the country including:
- Demerara channel 11 & Linden channel 13 & 8
- Berbice channels 21 and 15
- Essequibo 25
