64 Teams Set for One Guyana National Futsal Championship Kickoff

The highly anticipated One Guyana National Futsal Championship is set to kick off on November 20, 2024, with 64 teams from across the country vying for the prestigious title and a grand cash prize of 1.5 million dollars.

Organized by the Kashif and Shanghai Organization, this tournament will feature teams from Berbice, East Coast, East Bank, West Demerara, Linden, and Georgetown.

The tournament is expected to span several weeks of intense competition, with teams battling for supremacy in the fast-paced game of futsal.

Kashif Muhammad, the organizer of the event, expressed his enthusiasm about continuing to contribute to the development of football in Guyana.

He shared the inspiration behind hosting the futsal competition, emphasizing the growing popularity of the sport and the need for high-quality football events in the country.

In addition to the men’s competition, the tournament will feature a women’s futsal competition, with some of the best female teams competing for a cash prize of 200,000 dollars.

The One Guyana National Futsal Championship is proudly sponsored by the Government of Guyana and will take place at the National Gymnasium, where the action is set to commence on November 20.
