The second edition of ‘Indigenous Imaginations’ is scheduled for Saturday, August 10, at Black Magenta in Georgetown, offering a vibrant celebration of Guyana’s indigenous culture.

The event is organized by The Nine Nations, a group founded in July 2023, and will showcase indigenous talent across various mediums, including fashion, art, music, and cuisine.

Romario Hasting, Executive Member of The Nine Nations, shared that this year’s event will continue the cultural expression and creativity that began with last year’s indigenous fashion show.

Public Relations Officer Leroy Hendricks highlighted the expanded scale of this year’s showcase, which will feature eight designers, 25 models, and an expected audience of 250 people.

The event will be divided into two parts: an exhibition from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, followed by a fashion show starting at 6:00 PM.

Tickets for the show are priced at GYD $5000.
