The much-anticipated 2024 edition of the Milo Schools Football tournament is all set to commence on Saturday, promising an exciting display of talent and competition.
Six matches will mark the opening day of the tournament, with Bush Lot taking on debutants Abram Zuil at 12:30 PM at the Ministry of Education ground.
This clash will be followed by Marian Academy facing South Ruimveldt, and former champions Chase Academy squaring off against North Ruimveldt in the final match at the MOE ground.
Simultaneously, at the Queen’s College ground, Bartica will lock horns with West Coast Side La Venture Secondary, while Yarrowkabra Secondary will face off against New Central High.
The day’s action will conclude with West Ruimveldt Secondary battling host Queen’s College in the last game.
Sunday will witness another six matches at both Queen’s College and Ministry of Education grounds, promising another day of thrilling football action.
In related news, on Thursday, the Petra organization joined forces with MVP Sports to unveil their calendar of activities for the year.
Petra organization coordinator Lavern Fraser expressed gratitude to the company for their invaluable support in executing their program for the previous year.
Looking ahead, the fifth ExxonMobil boys and girls U14 tournament is scheduled to take place from May to July, followed by the Digicel U18 championship in July and August.
Other tournaments slated for this year include the 11th Courts Pee Wee U11 from September to October, the MVP Sports girls U11 set for November, and the KFC Goodwill International Football Series in December.
Petra will culminate their program with the inaugural university competition, slated to run from December 2024 to February 2025.
