18 NDC Chairs and Vice Chairs Take Office in Region Six

In a simple ceremony held at the Boardroom of the Regional Democratic Council, the Chairman and Vice Chairman for the 18 Neighbourhood Democratic Councils (NDCs) in Region Six were sworn in on Tuesday.

The 18 chairpersons and 18 vice chairpersons took the oath of office, committing to serving their respective communities to the best of their abilities, regardless of their political affiliations.

During the ceremony, Region Six Chairman David Armogan reminded the elected officials that they are public servants and urged them to build strong relationships with the communities they serve.

Recognizing the unique challenges faced by each community, Armogan emphasized the responsibility of all elected officials to work together, utilizing the resources available from the Regional Democratic Council and central government to address the needs of the people.

Following their swearing-in, several of the new NDC officials expressed their commitment to working for the betterment of their communities.

Regional Vice Chairman Zamal Hussain and Regional Executive Officer Narindra Persaud encouraged the NDC officials to foster maximum participation at the council level, ensuring effective representation of the people within their respective NDC areas.
