The Ministry of Labour’s Board of Industrial Training celebrated the graduation of 170 individuals from various fields, including Electrical Installation, Heavy Duty Equipment Operations, Hydraulics, Welding and Fabrication, Joinery, and Mechanics.
The graduation ceremony, held at the Outback Adventure in Gangaram, East Canje, honored the 146 males and 24 females who completed their training programs.
These initiatives, organized by the Board of Industrial Training, aim to equip citizens with the necessary skills and certifications to contribute effectively to the labor workforce.
Minister of Labour, Joseph Hamilton, emphasized the importance of discipline for success during the event.
He highlighted that acquiring skills is essential not only for personal development but also for providing for oneself and one’s family.
Minister Hamilton encouraged the graduates to utilize their newly acquired skills to improve their lives and contribute to the country’s development.
Regional Chairman, David Armogan, commended the graduates for their dedication and sacrifices throughout their training.
He assured them that their efforts have not been in vain, emphasizing that their completion of the training programs has made them more marketable in the workforce.
These graduation ceremonies represent a significant milestone for the graduates, as they are now equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in their chosen fields and contribute meaningfully to the development of their communities and the nation as a whole.
