By Royan Abrams

Mr. Joejodhan Bharosi, a former cane harvester at the Rose Hall Estate in Canje, celebrated his 104th birthday surrounded by family and friends in East Canje, Berbice.

Born in 1920, Mr. Bharosi spent his early years working hard to provide for his family, while also enjoying playing cricket and traveling between regions five and six for the sport.

Despite his age, Mr. Bharosi maintains a disciplined daily routine, starting his day early and staying active throughout.

His daughter, Mona Joejodhan, shared insights into her father’s routine, highlighting his dedication and resilience over the years.

She expressed gratitude for having her father around, especially after her mother’s passing in 2005.

Recognizing the significance of this remarkable milestone, Region Six RDC Chairman David Armogan paid a visit to Mr. Bharosi’s home to celebrate and present him with a hamper of food supplies and other goodies.

Chairman Armogan commended Mr. Bharosi for his longevity, emphasizing the blessing it is to reach such an age and the admiration it commands from others.

On behalf of NCN, we extend our warmest wishes to Mr. Bharosi on this special occasion.

We hope he continues to enjoy good health, happiness, and many more years of cherished memories.
