GEORGETOWN, GUYANA – The distribution of the $100,000 cash grant continues across Regions Three and Four, with residents turning out in large numbers to collect their cheques.
Beneficiaries from various villages expressed appreciation for the initiative, highlighting the positive impact the funds will have on their households.
Many noted that the grant would assist with essential expenses, given the rising cost of living.
Minister Kwame McCoy was present at the Mocha Arcadia distribution site on the East Bank of Demerara, overseeing the process.
Recipients described the collection process as well-organized and efficient, with some reporting minimal wait times.
As distribution efforts continue in these regions, the process is expected to commence in Georgetown in the coming week.
