Guyana move to third in points table as they beat Canada in CT20

Guyana registered a sweet 8 wicket win against Canada as action in the Caribbean Twenty20 competition continued at the Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados earlier this evening. Winning the toss, the Canadians elected to take first strike and posted 143 for 7 in their 50 overs. However, the Guyanese in response were led by Narsingh Deonarine with 52 not out, 36 from Shivnarine Chanderpaul and 29 from Sewnarine Chattergoon as they reached the required 144 run target for the loss of 2 wickets with 18 deliveries to spare.
Action in the competition will continue tomorrow with the combined campuses and collages against the Netherlands, while Barbados will be up against Sussex.
