Republic Bank Ltd donated G $1.7M to the Culture Ministry to aid the development of steel pan music

The Ministry Of Culture Youth And Sport has received G $1.7M from Republic Bank Limited to develop steel pan music in Guyana.
Minister of culture youth and sport Dr. Frank Anthony notes that the bank has for the past 3 years sponsored the steel pan mash competition.
He says a new program that will empower youths to learn steel pan will commence soon in four regions.
Earlier this year, the ministry has donated a steel pan set to the youths of tiger bay.
