The Matime administration department calls search for missing cargo vessels

The Martime administration department has called off the search for the missing cargo vessel, Mv Oliver l and its three-member crew- captain Wexton Adrews, Ramdat Roopnarine and clad Burnett.

In a press release, the department said all possible courses of action were taken to find the vessel and its crew, however these were unsuccessful.

On December 21, 2011, the “Oliver l” departed Port-Of- Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, and was scheduled to arrive here at twelve hours on December 24.

The motor vessel was reported missing with its crew by family members to the Leonora police station on December 31.

Marad was subsequently notified of this incident by the vessel’s operator, Johnny Ramdass, following which an extensive search was launched.
